Klimczok

The beginning of the route - the center of Szczyrk, at the crossing of ul. Beskidzka and ul. Górska, opposite the Stara Karczma inn. We are going along ul. Górska next to the bus stop. Near the ski lift Beskidek we turn right into ul. Wrzosowa. We follow an asphalt road, which becomes steeper and steeper. After a few minutes we approach St. Mary's Sanctuary ”Na Górce”, from where unfolds a panorama with the view of Skrzyczne. We still follow the blue route through the forest. We reach an asphalt road and we go up the hill. Near the signpost we turn left.

Going further, the road becomes steeper and rocky. We pass next to Podmagurskie Housing Estate. We continue further up the hill, we reach the edge of the forest and we can admire a beautiful view of Czantoria Wielka and the neighbouring mountains.

We enter the forest, after a dozen or so meters we can see a signpost. We still follow the blue route until Siodło under Klimczok ( 1040 m above sea level) - different tourist routes meet here. The route to Klimczok is quite steep and takes approx. 10 min. fFrom the peak we will admire: Babia Góra, a part of Beskid Mały and (weather permitting) the Tatra mountains. We can rest here on one of several wooden benches.

Next to the Klimczok peak there is a mountain hostel - from there we have two options of coming back:
a) the simple way - going down, we make for Błatnia hostel (1 h 15 min) situated under the peak of Magura. Near the mountain hostel there are several tourist routes. We select the green route to Szczyrk through the Biła valley (1h 30 min). Our road leads initially through the forest. When we descend we look down and we can see a panorama of Szczyrk. We also look at the distant Czantoria Wielka, Stożek Wielki and Kiczory (summits near Wisła). Our road, following the green route, soon turns right and mildly goes down. After a dozen minutes we approach a crossing of forest roads where we were before when going up the peak. We continue straight to the Biła valley. The green route crosses a small stream and turns left. It continues straight all the time until it reaches the bus stop Szczyrk Biła.

b) the varied way - from the mountain hostel we go down in the direction of Bielsko-Biała and cable car lift to Szyndzielnia. There we go down to the city (Bielsko-Biala) and we come back by public transport to Szczyrk. The lift operates in the following hours: 9 am - 5.30 pm (Tuesday-Sunday) and 10 am - 5.30 pm (Monday).

This way we can also reach Klimczok in the reverse manner, namely:
-public transport Szczyrk – Bielsko-Biala,
-passage to Szyndzielnia (the cable car lift station),
-reaching the mountain hostel and Klimczok,
-return to Szczyrk according to option a).
